A statue representing James Harrod, the man who discovered “Harrods town” in 1774 by following Town Creek to a Buffalo Trace around what is now called The Big Spring. The statue is being designed and created by artist Forest Boone, a direct descendant of Mr. Harrods friend, exploration partner, and one-time Harrods town resident - Daniel Boone.
The statue is planned to be dedicated during the 250th celebration of the founding of Harrodsburg, KY in 2024.
